Makeup for beginners
While wearing makeup, you
have to be very careful, so that the application of the various
cosmetics on your face and body doesn’t look unnatural. For beginners,
it is important that they are aware of the makeup basics and other
intricacies to have an appealing look.
Here are some tips for
the beginners:
First clean your face
One of the first steps
you need for putting on makeup is to cleanse the skin on your face. The
face is a very sensitive area and you must make sure the cleanser you
use is hypoallergenic. Use a small amount of cleanser and rub it onto
your face with an upward motion. Always use this upwards motion as this
can delay the formation of wrinkles. Rinse the cleanser from your face
and pat it dry with a soft towel.

Use a moisturizer
A face needs to be kept
moist for good makeup. Use a moisturizer that is light and does not make
your skin greasy. It will also help to absorb any oil throughout the
day. Again use a very small amount and rub it upwards as suggested for
the cleaning ritual. Massage into the face so that no traces of any
excess are felt.
You need a good
foundation
Foundation helps
to protect your skin form the effects of the climate, be it rain, sun or
the wind. For your makeup, choose a light
foundation that has some
element of sunscreen in it. This can protect your skin form the effects
of the sun. Choose a foundation
that looks natural and matches the color of your neck. Massage
the foundation into your face so that it blends completely and is
absorbed by the skin. A sponge is best to help blend the
foundation.
Hiding the blemishes
Use a concealer that is
slightly lighter than the color of the foundation shade that you have
used in your makeup. Use the tip of your finger to apply a small amount
of the concealer to the blemishes you see on your face. Normally
concealer is used under the eyes and on any pimples that are visible.
Let it dry and then blend it into your skin. Wait for the concealer to
be completely absorbed before you move on to the next step.
Applying powder
for your makeup
Use a brush lightly
dabbed in powder so you get a very small quantity of powder onto the
brush. Stroke your face with downward strokes of the brush until your
face has been entirely brushed and the look on your face has a matte
effect. See that powder is applied evenly on the entire face.
Eye makeup
An eye shadow primer is a
must before you apply eye makeup. You can skip the eyeliner if you are
not comfortable with it. Liquid eyeliners are a bit cumbersome to use,
so as a beginner may opt for the pencil. Start at the inner corner and
apply a thin streak on the lash line. Make it thicker towards the outer
corner of your eyes. Repeat on the bottom lash line.
Next step is applying the
eye shadow. Decide on the color you want and pick shades that are darker
than your skin, as dark as your skin and one that is lighter than the
skin. With an eye shadow sponge apply the darker shade along the crease.
Then use the medium shade to dust your eye lid and smudge it with the
darker shade till it looks even. Then use the lightest shade and brush
it along the brow bone.
Use a mascara wand to put
mascara on your lashes, starting at the base of the eyelashes repeating
till you are satisfied with the effect. You can also use it on the
bottom lashes but this is not very necessary.

Using blush
Use the blush brush to
brush your cheeks with an upward motion with the blush of your choice.
Blend it outwards till you are satisfied with the effect. Use a sponge
to help the blending.
The final touch for your makeup
Decide on whether you
want lip stick or lip gloss. Use a liner if you feel the need for it,
though it is really not necessary. Start with your lip stick in the
middle of the top lip and work your way out and down. Rub the lipstick
till you have enough on and smack your lips so that the lipstick becomes
uniform. Top it off with the lip gloss and check to see whether you have
the desired effect and have avoided putting any lipstick on your teeth.
There you are. You are
now ready to face the world and show them how pretty you are!
