Get ready for a make over with few make up rules
Makeup is an art. A well trained artist can create a magic in a woman’s
face with the use of some colors and brushes. Makeup is nothing but
colors and how you apply them. The pigmentation of skin, hair and
eyes determine the
color category of a person. In
other words, you can select your clothes, makeup according to your skin
color.
Each skin complexion has
been assigned a name of the season. For instance, fair is considered
spring season, medium skin tone is called summer season; tan complexion
is known as fall, dark/rich skin tone is called winter season. Whatever
the season may be, putting on the makeup has certain principles and
rules which one must adhere to in order to achieve that gorgeous look.

It is strictly prohibited
to use some one else
mascara or eyeliner on your
eyes.
Being one of the most sensitive parts of our body,
eyes
remain very receptive to microbes which could easily be transferred from
your eyes
to other or vice versa through these cosmetic applications.
Makeup
lasts longer if it is applied on the moisturized
skin.
In fact, before going to bed, moisturize your
skin
as it keeps
skin wrinkle free.
The shelf life of these
cosmetic products must be kept in mind especially of
eye
products such as
eye liner,
mascara
etc.
The sponges and brushes
may contain bacteria. These must be washed regularly and should be
replaced every month.
Do not forget to relieve
your skin of makeup before going to bed. Makeup dries skin and further
causes premature wrinkles to the
skin.
After having learnt the
few essentials of
makeup application on your
skin,
it is time to see the
makeup dos and don’ts. In
order to have the successful makeover, few makeup rules are to be
followed.
The right
foundation is the one which is closet to your
skin
tone. Test the small quantity on the edge of your face, or side of your
chin, and on the neck during the day light and see if it has merged well
with your skin tone.
Eyeliner
should be of fine quality. If you are unable to apply a straight line
with eyeliner, use
eye pencil instead.
Eye pencils are comparatively
easy to use and do not require clear-cut lines.
Eye shadow colors can
make you look old-fashioned easily. Picking up a right color of cosmetic
to compliment the
skin or
eye color is essential
in eye makeup.
It is outdated when blue
eyed people would have
preferred blue
eye
shadow. It is obsolete to match the color of
eye
shadow with the dress
color. Today’s generation
prefers contrasting
colors.
Applying more coats of
mascara
depends on the quality of
mascara. If the
mascara
is already thick, restrain yourself in applying more coats as it will
form a clump on your
eye lashes. Use of an
eyelash
curler is advisable.
Never use the dark lip pencils to outline lips. Instead use a natural
color or similar
color of lip liner to outline
the lips.
Do not ignore neck while
applying makeup on cheeks.

Matching lipstick with
nail paint is a personal choice however; never go overboard with these
cosmetics. A good combination of nail paint and lipstick would be- dark
red nails and beige lips would look great.
Finally, a good
makeup
mirror is all what is required to give you the closet view to find out
the minute errors of your
makeup.
Once you have attained
the awareness on the basic rules of makeup, you can bring about a
makeover
of your personality by applying right colors. Don’t be scared of
experiments, makeup is not everlasting. If you do not like it- simply
wash it off and remember that a master piece was not created in one day.
Try again until you finally find your beautiful self in the mirror.
